Frequently Asked Questions
"To be truly visionary, we have to root our imagination in our concrete reality while simultaneously imagining possibilities beyond that reality."

How do I know if psychotherapy is right for me?
If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or longing for deeper connection—with yourself or others—therapy can be a place to begin.
You don’t need to be in crisis. Therapy can also support reflection, integration, and exploring new possibilities.
Consider checking out this short video on how I imagine the process of therapy. If you find resonance, perhaps therapy is right for you at this time.

What are your areas of focus?
I walk alongside folks navigating grief, complex trauma, identity exploration, relational dynamics, and systemic oppression.
I’m especially passionate about supporting elders, those in end-of-life stages, people holding marginalized identities, and anyone who seeks healing grounded in collective liberation.
My work is rooted in and committed to an anti-oppression, trauma-conscious framework: queer- and trans-affirming, fat-positive, sex-positive, disability-inclusive, critically conscious, and culturally responsive and humble. -
Can you share more about how you work?
I see therapy as a space to slow down and notice what’s unfolding at your pace, and to explore new possibilities for change.
In our work together, we might:
Notice patterns in your thoughts, emotions, and relationships
Process feelings of grief, overwhelm, or uncertainty
Reconnect with your body and emotional experiences
Put words to what has been hard to name
Explore what change or healing might look like for you
We may also draw from somatic, creative, and nature-based practices to support your process, depending on what feels resonant. -
Is everything I share confidential?
Yes. Confidentiality is a cornerstone of our work together. There are a few legal and ethical exceptions (such as imminent risk of harm), which we’ll discuss fully at the start, so you have informed consent (which is and should be ongoing and supportive with any therapist you may choose to work with).
More information on informed consent here.

How do I get started with you?
I am able to see new clients and am practicing under supervision as my LMHCA is in process.
You’re welcome to reach out to learn more. We can also begin with a free virtual 15-minute consultation to see if we’re a good fit.

I'm not quite ready for psychotherapy yet. Do you have recommended resources in the meantime?
Yes, I am so glad you asked—I do! Check ‘em out here.
You don’t have to do this alone, even if you’re not ready for therapy yet.
Not ready yet?
If you're not ready just yet, that's okay.
Journeys often move like the tide—sometimes arriving in waves. You're welcome to linger, explore, or simply rest here awhile.
When you're ready, the path will be waiting.
Until then, may you find a welcoming companion in the words and resources shared along the way.
